Facilitating European Clinical Research

ECRIN is a public, non-profit organisation that links scientific partners and networks across Europe
to facilitate multinational clinical research. We provide sponsors and investigators with advice,
management services and tools to overcome hurdles to multinational trials and enhance collaboration.

Our Work

We provide our 12 Member and Observer Countries with diverse trial support services
and contribute to infrastructure development projects with additional European and international partners.

A meeting entitled 'Facilitating high-quality multinational clinical research in Europe: ECRIN mission and vision' will be held at the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS) on 23 October 2019. 

ISS coordinates the Italian Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (ItaCRIN), which aims to sustain independent clinical research and help investigators/sponsors promote (and join) multinational trials supported by ECRIN. Italy has been an ECRIN member since 2013. 

The purpose of the event is to improve knowledge of ECRIN and to encourage Italian participation in international trials, by promoting high-level, non-profit clinical research focused on the identification of innovati ve therapetuic strategies for the the benefit of public health. 

The conference is aimed at researchers and clinical investigators, medical doctors, grant office staff, clinical research organisations (CROs), and clinical trial unit (CTU) staff. 

Participation is free-of-charge, but registration is required.

The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) is organising a Rare Diseases Research Info Day and International Networking Event on 7 November 2019, in Istanbul, Turkey, at Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center (SUNUM).

TUBITAK has committed ~1,5 M Euro for the European Joint Programme on Rare Diseases (EJP-RD) 2020 Call to support research partners from Turkey in the funded projects.

The 'Info Day and Brokerage Event' is intended to help interested parties connect with potential partners from Turkey (academia and industry) to prepare for the EJP-RD 2020 Call (which will open in December 2019).

The first edition of the EULAC PerMed 'Summer School', organised by the EULAC PerMed consortium in collaboration with the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII), will be held in Madrid, Spain from November 7 to 8, 2019.

The Summer School aims to share insights on the main areas of personalised medicine (PM) research; to support the creation of research networks between European Union (EU) and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) countries; and to improve the multidisciplinary approach in this research field. 

The EULAC PerMed Summer School is open to participants from all EU and LAC countries. Participants will be selected through an application-based process. The Summer School is free of charge and the EULAC PerMed project will award a travel grant to six participants from the LAC region.

The Summer School will be preceded by the 2nd ICPerMed workshop on 'Personalised Medicine for all citizens and patients within Sustainable Implementation', which will take place from November 5 to 6, 2019 at the Escuela Nacional de Sanidad on the premises of ISCII.
