Our story
The European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (ECRIN) is a not-for-profit intergovernmental organisation that supports the conduct of multinational clinical trials in Europe. Since its creation in 2004 a lot has changed for ECRIN. Not only in the legal status, its member and observer states, its tools, the management and support for international clinical trials, or it reach within the European clinical research community, but also regarding the communication and the ECRIN corporate identity. Thanks to the efforts of all ECRIN staff, EuCos, Boards, and in collaboration with all stakeholders, ECRIN has grown into a mature organisation that comes with an updated ECRIN brand and identity.
Vision & Mission
ECRIN's vision is to generate scientific evidence to optimise medical practice. To achieve this vision, ECRIN supports the conduct of multinational clinical research in Europe (i.e. its vision). By managing and supporting clinical trials across borders, connecting networks, and advising and implementing policy, ECRIN advances knowledge flow, competitiveness and integration in European clinical research.
Values
ECRIN's values include healthcare optimisation, health innovation, patient involvement, scientific excellence, ethics, transparency, data sharing, high-quality data, not-for-profit focus, and international cooperation.

ECRIN logo
At the end of 2021 a new logo was adopted, using the core elements of the previous logo (the square, the checkerboard and the idea of the people) but with the aim of simplifying the image. The use of lower case for the acronym is meant to make the brand more accessible. The colours have been updated to a modern blue and yellow.
The official ECRIN logo is available here. Please note the use of white space around the logo. You can contact the Communication Officer if you need a high resolution version.
In order to be readable and recognisable, the logo should not be displayed smaller then 12 mm (34 px).
The logo for printed media is available on demand (white, black, Pantone, CMYK).
Symbol
The ECRIN symbol can be used separately from the name 'ECRIN'. The symbol is mainly used to animate communication contents, for example titles or icons.
The official ECRIN symbol is available in one, single version. Please note the use of white space around the symbol. You can contact the Communication Officer if you need a high resolution version.
In order to be readable and recognisable, the symbol should not be displayed smaller then 3,5 mm (10 px), and then the yellow square will turn transparent.
The symbol for printed media is available on demand (white, black, Pantone, CMYK).
