International Clinical Trials Day (ICTD) 2024: Data Centric Clinical Research
Mark your calendars and join us on May 23rd 2024, as we celebrate International Clinical Trials Day.
This global event, launched by ECRIN in 2005, brings together patients, health policy actors, health authorities, clinical researchers, health professionals and citizens from Europe, and beyond to discuss issues related to multinational clinical trials.
This year, the discussions and presentations will focus on: Data Centric Clinical Research.
ICTD commemorates the start of the landmark clinical trial, led by James Lind on sailors with scurvy, 20 May 1747. Acknowledging its foundational role in shaping contemporary clinical research, ECRIN annually honors this milestone, addressing a new topic in clinical research every year around this significant date.
Join us for this day dedicated to insightful discussions, informative sessions, and networking opportunities with professionals who are shaping the landscape of clinical research.
With the data revolution playing an increasing role in all aspects of clinical research this year we will focus on some of the impacts, benefits and challenges of the rise of data and technology. Different stakeholders from the community will share their experiences on topics ranging from the integration of the new technical assets, eHealth, data science, the data protection legislation and collaboration of academia and industry, among others.
This event is organised by ECRIN (European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network), and its Greek scientific partner, GRECRIN, who will co-host this event.
ICTD this year will be a hybrid event, direct from Thessaloniki, that will run from 9:00 to 5:30 CEST. This event is free and welcomes participants both onsite and online.
Registration details will be made available shortly, get more information on the ICTD 2024 webpage.
