Open call for MedTech SMEs looking at solutions for COVID19

Three Open Innovation Testbed (OITB) projects TBMED, MDOT and SAFE-N-MEDTECH are working together to provide services to accompany innovators with their solutions to fight COVID-19. The COVID-19 pandemic has put SMEs at risk, as a result of the economic slowdown. As a result, the three EU funded projects have integrated this call into their budgets and will include the selected innovators as new case studies, providing them with services at no cost and enabling the SMEs to get their products to market faster.

The OITBs are pan-European innovation networks that address the needs of medical technologies making them key in the search for urgent solutions.

 

The services include but are not limited to the following for the three projects:

TBMED – offers services to developers from high-risk medical devices sector which include early dialogues with Basque HTA office, expert advice for regional and/or multinational clinical trials (provided by ECRIN)

MDOT – offer services regarding regulatory affairs and technology development in the fields of inhalation technologies and environmental sensors

SAFE-N-MEDTECH – offers services in nano-enabled medical technologies from proof of concept to markets and clinical practice such as preclinical validation, access to biobanks and patient samples, and regulatory support.

 

The deadline for the call is 2 October 2020.
