Open call for medical device development

TB MED launched a new open call to support medical device developers. This call looks to assist with the Clinical Proof of Concept (CPoC) or clinical investigations with an innovative high-risk device.

Through its Open Innovation Testing Bed (OITB), which specialises in the development of high-risk medical devices, TBMED assists through the provision of services to accelerate the development of MDs, covering technology development from TRL4 (proof of concept in small animals) to TRL7 (clinical investigations) and offering at the same time additional business management services when necessary.

In the current call, applicants can apply for the following services:

  • Advisory sessions to address the design of a clinical proof of concept
  • Consultancy for the development of multinational clinical medical device investigations
  • Support for regional or multinational clinical investigations to determine feasibility and performance of the MDs (design, clinical investigator identification, project management, regulatory and ethical submission, data management and statistics and monitoring.
