Annual report is out

ECRIN is delighted to present its 2023 Annual Report, marking a year filled with significant achievements and highlights. In particular, we were delighted to celebrate our 10 year anniversary since ECRIN was awarded the European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC) status. This report offers an in-depth look at the diverse range of activities and initiatives that defined our efforts over the past year.

Close-up on Clinical Operations

2023 was a year for the books and for our clinical operations team this included a record number of requests for collaboration. In this year’s report, we share this and more on our service offer which is further highlighted through a series of insightful interviews. For example, we provide a closer look at the BIOTOOL-CHF trial and the Joint Access Advisory Mechanism.

Our partners in the spotlight

2023 was marked by the expansion of our network across Europe, more specifically the acquisition of Member status for Greece and Switzerland (formerly an Observer). We also zoom in on our German partner through a dedicated interview with the German European Correspondents, who are responsible for coordinating a multitude of clinical studies.

Supporting the Rare Diseases Community

Through this report, we took the opportunity to reaffirm our commitment and support to the rare disease clinical research community. This includes participation in projects and initiatives, and an interview with our Head of Capacity Projects, actively involved in the European Joint Programme on Rare Diseases (EJP-RD).

Activities to support our main mission at ECRIN

In addition, our report delves into the numerous projects we have been involved in throughout the year. From groundbreaking research initiatives to collaborative efforts with various international partners, these projects reflect our dedication to advancing clinical research and improving healthcare outcomes. Through dedicated interviews we draw your attention to in-silico trials and the SIMCor project as well as the ECRIN Data Standards.

The direct outreach to our stakeholder communities includes the organisation, with our National Partners, of a training: Everything you need to know about submitting a European multinational clinical study proposal, and a closer look at the events we organised (CTU day, ICTD 2023, and ERA4Health workshop).

We'll also delve into the services, knowledge, and tools we provide, which are essential aspects of our mission to support and enhance clinical research across Europe.

And a big thank you to the ECRIN community !

We invite you to explore all these updates and more in our 2023 Annual Report. Check it all out below to gain a comprehensive understanding of our activities and the progress we have made over the past year. We hope that 2024 will be just as rich in milestones and successes!
