Data Centre Audits

As part of its Data Management Centre Certification programme, ECRIN led audits of two non-commercial Japanese data centres in the fall of 2018. This was a pilot for the extension of the programme beyond Europe. The aims were to:

• Assess compliance of the trial units with ECRIN's data management standards
• Oversee and approve the appointment of Japanese auditors
• Contribute to the training of auditors and preparation for the future implementation of a regional certification programme in Asia

ECRIN will be performing audits of the data centres that were selected as part of the 2018 call (among its Member and Observer countries) soon.
