Certification of two new European Data Centres in 2020

We are pleased to announce that two European Data Centres received the ECRIN Data Centre Certification in 2020: DKF Basel and ZKS Köln.

The certification of DKF Basel marks the first certification in Switzerland and also the first certification of a Data Centre in an ECRIN observer country.

ECRIN is pleased to be able to count these two data centres among the growing list of certified centres in Europe as they demonstrably meet the ECRIN Data management and IT standards and confirm their ability to provide compliant, effective and efficient data management for clinical trials.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Data Centre Certification call for 2020 was cancelled as the initial certification requires on-site audits and this was not possible given the changing government regulations on European travel throughout the year. ECRIN Data Centre Certification 2021 call, if maintained, will be made available in May 2021.
