Marta del Alamo

Head of Capacity projects

Marta del Alamo is the Head of Capacity projects at ECRIN in Paris.  She is focused on coordinating ongoing multinational clinical trials in several European countries and providing support to clinical investigators preparing clinical studies/projects for European funding. Marta is also actively involved in ECRIN's capacity building / infrastructure development activities.

Previously Marta worked at SCReN, the Spanish Clinical Research Network, as project manager and was a member of the Ethics Committee at Hospital Ramon y Cajal in Madrid. As a previous research scientist in the field of molecular biology and virology, she has worked at Centro de Biología Molecular Severo Ochoa and Centro Nacional de Biotecnología (Spain) and Scripps Research Institute, Washington University in St Louis and Stanford University (USA).

Marta received a BA in biology (biotechnology) from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and a PhD in molecular biology from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She also did a post-graduate programme in clinical trials management in Madrid.
