Kick off meeting BE READY Partnership

Today marks the official kick-off of the BE READY European Partnership for Pandemic Preparedness in Paris.

ECRIN is pleased to be among the 81 partners supporting this new 10-year European Partnership. Coordinated by ANRS, BE READY aims to ensure that Europe can anticipate and respond faster to emerging infectious disease (EID) threats by advancing knowledge on EIDs and maintaining critical research capacities between crises.

🔎 What will BE READY do?
• Align national research priorities and scientific expertise across Europe;
• Fund multinational research through Joint Transnational Calls;
• Build a resilient, integrated research ecosystem, including an “ever-warm” European clinical research network ready to mobilise rapidly during outbreaks.

ECRIN will lead the work on the Partnership's ethics and regulatory compliance and also contribute to the alignment of research priorities and the establishment of an ever-warm research infrastructure ecosystem for basic and preclinical research for pandemic preparedness and response
among other tasks.
