EULAC PerMed Website Now Online
The EULAC PerMed (Widening EU-CELAC policy and research cooperation in Personalised Medicine) project website is now online.
Financed by the European Horizon 2020 programme*, EuLac-PerMed is a research and collaboration programme aimed at increasing collaboration on personalised medicine (PerMed) research in Latin America and Caribbean (CELAC) and EU countries. Its main objectives are to:
- Map existing programmes on PerMed, capacities and expertise and gaps in CELAC countries
- Facilitate the incorporation of CELAC countries into the International Consortium on Personalised Medicine (ICPerMed) and the European Research Area Network on Personalised Medicine (ERAPerMed - an international initiative co-funding research on personalised medicine)
- Foster the participation of CELAC countries in research mobility and transnational projects on PerMed, and build a platform for EU‐CELAC collaboration on clinical trials with a focus on PerMed
- Foster cross-border learning from R&I and ELSA for implementing innovations between EU and CELAC research team
In order to reach these objectives several workshops for both stakeholders and investigators, training events, and fellowship opportunities will be organised from 2019 to 2021.
The EULAC Permed website features information, among others, about the project and its activities. Details of all upcoming events will also be available directly on the website, including criteria for participating in the events and application forms.
*EULAC PerMed has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme under grant agreement number 825173.
