CORBEL Final Open Meeting

The final CORBEL meeting will take place on 2 March 2020 in Florence, Italy. The consortium will present their solutions for harmonising user access to the European life science research infrastructures (RIs), comprising topics such as access, data or quality management, training, ELSI and innovation support. Presentations by scientists from the biological and medical user communities will illustrate how concerted access to multiple RIs advanced their projects, thus demonstrating the benefit of CORBEL for European life science research.

RI-VIS Africa-Europe Symposium

The RI-VIS Africa-Europe Symposium will be held on Monday, March 23rd and Tuesday, March 24th, 2020 in Cape Town, South Africa.

The two-day symposium will bring together staff from the European infrastructures and South African and other African research infrastructures and institutions who might be interested in collaborating. Representatives from relevant funding agencies as well as policy makers are invited to join.

The aim is to foster collaboration and initiate networks in a sustainable way so that all stakeholders benefit.

ICPerMed Conference 2020

CORBEL Meeting on Survey Outcomes

ECRIN will host a meeting in Paris on 12 October 2016 to discuss the CORBEL user survey. The survey was sent to medical research communities to capture their needs in terms of tools and services.

Meeting participants will include members of the medical infrastructure / users forum (MIUF), a body of scientific experts that has been created as part of CORBEL. (ECRIN is leading the work package in charge of this activity.)

CORBEL Meeting on Patient-Level Data-Sharing

ECRIN will organise the second workshop of the patient-level data task force in Milan from 6 to 7 October 2016. The task force aims to develop a common framework to provide access to anonymised, patient-level clinical trial data for re-analysis / meta-analysis in Europe. This initiative is in line with a recent editorial from the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors requesting a data-sharing plan as part of the study protocol (N Engl J Med 2016; 374:384-386).

EMBL Conference on Lifelong Learning in the Biomedical Sciences

The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) is holding a conference on Lifelong Learning in the Biomedical Sciences in Heidelberg, Germany from 5-7 July 2016.

The event is a new international forum to bring together the key influencers, policymakers, trainers and stakeholders from academia, industry and professional bodies. Together they will shape and implement how career-long continuing professional development is managed in the future. The conference will encompass career-long continuing professional development for both the academic and industry sectors.

Registration Now Closed for ECRIN's 2016 Celebration of International Clinical Trials Day

Registration is now closed for ECRIN's meeting on International Clinical Trials Day, to be held in Prague on May 20th. The theme of this year's event is "Clinical trials in the era of personalised medicine". 

The 2016 celebration of International Clinical Trials Day aims to increase awareness of ECRIN and its Czech national scientific partner – Czech Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (CZECRIN) – among Czech policymakers and the scientific community, as well as to address issues related to personalised medicine and multinational clinical trials.
