Joana Batuca

Joana Batuca is the Portuguese European Correspondents for ECRIN and at national level she acts as manager of the Portuguese scientific partner, PtCRIN.

She worked in a pharmaceutical company for 2 years as a clinical research associate (CRA) and she has over 10 years’ experience working in scientific translational/clinical research in the field of autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular disease and dyslipidaemia. During this period, she participated several investigator-initiated clinical trials and also in the teaching of pharmacology as Invited Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at the NOVA Medical School.

Joana has a Pre-Bologna Licentiate Degree in biochemistry from University of Lisbon and a PhD in pharmacology from NOVA University of Lisbon, Portugal.
