Caecilia Schmid

Caecilia Schmid has been the ECRIN European Correspondent for Switzerland since 2012 and is based at the Swiss Clinical Trial Organisation (SCTO).

She has more than 15 years experience in the planning, setup, and management of multinational clinical trials and in the coordination of trial associated services / activities in neglected tropical diseases and capacity building. At national level she acts as scientific coordinator of national network projects and is responsible for the permanent SCTO data management working group. In addition, she acts as the secretariat for the Swiss national platform of the European Patients' Academy on Therapeutic Innovation, EUPATI Switzerland.

Dr. Schmid holds a doctorate degree in epidemiology.
