Webinar: Drug repurposing for MND
In this webinar, join key opinion leaders in translational research as they highlight the need for better repurposed treatment options for people living with MND.
You can also hear about LifeArc’s £5 million open funding call to advance innovative pre-clinical drug repurposing projects within the UK and internationally.
On the agenda:
- An expert panel will present a vision to transform the way in which potential MND therapies are assessed at an early stage so that only the most promising candidates make it into clinical trials for MND. (see these guiding principles for more info: https://bit.ly/3tHqCxG)
- LifeArc will also announce a £5 million open funding call for MND drug repurposing, including:
- Essential information on how you can apply for LifeArc funding.
- How you can get end-to-end support for your MND drug repurposing project through LifeArc’s comprehensive resources including in-house drug repurposing know-how and translational research expertise.
There will be an opportunity to join an interactive panel Q&A session as part of this webinar. Register here.
About LifeArc’s MND Translational Challenge: LifeArc’s Translational Challenge in Motor Neuron Disease (MND) is funding innovative research to find effective treatments for those living with MND. This funding call is part of LifeArc’s Motor Neuron Disease Translational Challenge to make the condition treatable by 2030 and ultimately find a cure. Breaking the research deadlock in MND is a key priority for the charity and forms part of the Challenges’ £50 million investment to accelerate the translation of scientific discoveries into new breakthroughs to transform how MND is detected, treated, and managed. Currently, around half of those diagnosed with MND die within two years and six people are diagnosed with MND every day in the UK with the condition currently affecting around 5,000 people.
