The European Forum for Good Clinical Practice (EFGCP) is holding its 2016 annual conference on the topic of "Faster and Safer Paths to New Treatments: Bringing together the two worlds of pharmaceutical and device research to better serve public, patients and research participants". The event will take place from March 1st to 2nd, 2016 in Brussels, Belgium.
The aim of the conference is to explore how medicines and devices can be developed speedily but safely for patient benefit on a sound evidence base within the current and changing regulatory European frameworks.
ECRIN's Director General, Jacques Demotes, has been invited to hold the Josef Hoet Lecture at the event.
The EFGCP acts as a forum to bring patients, researchers, sponsors, competent authorities and ethics committees together to debate current topics. This meeting is designed to help pharmaceutical industry stakeholders and device researchers learn from each other’s histories, hear patient voices and understand changing regulations.
The expected outcomes of the annual conference will be an EFGCP report and recommendations that will be provided to those involved in legislative processes.
